Hyundai Wants To Help You Fight Fraud

The Internet has transformed our world in so many ways, many of them very positive.  But the convenience of the Internet has also brought with it the opportunity for fraud.  In fact, recently a dealer suffered a fraud incident.  Our goal is to help to prevent any fraud losses for our dealers and our company.

Online fraud can involve phishing through emails and messages, financial scams, identity theft, software piracy, malicious advertising, spyware, domain name fraud, account takeovers, and more.

To help battle fraud, Hyundai is introducing new security measures to strengthen the integrity of our reimbursement process.  I encourage you to check out this memo sent for details on these new protocols.

While these new protocols may add some reimbursement steps, the goal is to protect you from being the possible victim of fraud.  In addition, we encourage you to embrace safe online practices:

  • Be cautious of suspicious emails and links
  • Use strong, unique passwords
  • Install antivirus software
  • Keep software updated
  • Be wary of requests for personal or business information
  • Monitor online accounts, statements and credit reports regularly
